Our Story
Adrien and Ashley met at Oregon State University during Archery club in 2022. They both talked in the club over the course of three months, but grew fonder of each other after. Adrien was smitten by Ashley’s CS skills (nothing says romance like shared syntax), and Ashley fell for Adrien’s considerate heart and his ability to cook a meal that didn't involve a microwave.
They kept talking after winter term, and Adrien knew he wanted to ask her out. Their first date was on November 29, 2022, and they were inseparable from then on. A couple weeks later, Adrien took Ashley on a hike to one of her favorite spots, brought Kinder Buenos and hot chocolate, and asked her to be his girlfriend on December 14, 2022.

The Proposal
In December 2024, Adrien had a ring in his pocket and a plan. Before a holiday trip with Ashley's family, he decided it was time. For weeks, he'd been "documenting" their hikes, really taking photos of the ring while it stayed hidden in his pocket and Ashley walked ahead, none the wiser.
On December 6th, it happened at Mt. Rainier, snow on the ground and the Cascades all around. Adrien pulled out the ring, got down on one knee, and asked. Afterward, they celebrated the way they do best: burgers and milkshakes at an inn down the mountain.
